For yet another year, PLASTIMAK SA was among the winners of the Greek Packaging Awards organized by Boussias Events, demonsrating the excellent quality of our products. 

PLASTIMAK SA received the bronze award in the category Best Printing Project in Flexible Packaging. This award reflects our commitment to produce aesthetically superior packaging that may function as a marketing tool, providing added value to the product itself.

The choice of the specific project underlines the commitment of PLASTIMAK to the principles of circular economy, as it refers to a recyclable monomaterial PE packaging for nuts with high barrier requirements. The choice of bi-oriented PE aims to the homogeneity of the structure as required to achieved recyclability, successfully substituting PET. Moreover, the absence of metallization, further enhances the recyclable status of the structure.

The recyclability of packaging, including plastic flexible packaging, is now a European requirement. The legislative regulations, based on the publish of the Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation draft, are expected to become stricter, forcing us to adapt promptly and appropriately. In the meantime, the upcoming Green Claims Directive, will introduce the necessity of mandatory documentation of any sustainability claims relevant to packaging aiming to address any “Greenwashing” phenomena.

Plastimak SA, already back in 2019, has launched the sustainable EcoMak® product series aiming to address such challenges. Since then, the added technical know-how and experience has led to the development of further specialized recyclable alternatives, ensuring that PLASTIMAK SA is ready to tackle the current challenges of recyclability.

Our goal is to produce sustainable packaging of high aesthetics, without any discount on product safety and quality.
