In a passionate atmosphere, Packaging Innovation Awards 2017 were held on Tuesday, October 3, 2017, at gazARTE. Executives from companies producing, importing or handling products, materials and packaging industries; printing companies of all kinds of packaging or Display Stands; creative offices and designers, all applauded innovation in design, materials, technology and processes throughout the product packaging chain.  

During this meeting, Plastimak won the silver prize for the packaging of peppers in a Stand-Up Pouch with a zipper, in the packaging category for the "Introduction of New Goods in the Greek Market". The criteria for the evaluation included the advantages or benefits that the packaging confers on the products .  

Specifically, this new packaging has given our client cost reduction of strategic importance, as it has replaced the previously costly packaging. In addition, it has reduced storage space and ensured easy product transfer, achieving high environmental performance and drastical reduction of the firm's carbon footprint.  

The award was received by the Chairman of the BoD and Chief Executive Officer of the company, Mr. Dimitrios Gemenetzis.
