The Annual Printing Awards 2020 are one of the most recognized national competitions for industrial products, awarding the greatest achievements in the printing industry, including printing on packaging materials. During the awards ceremony held in Athens on February 18th, we were honored to receive 3 awards!

Plastimak takes the lead in flexible packaging due to both the flexibility and the quality it has developed through continuous investments. Its new 10-color printing station has been a landmark for the Greek market, achieving speeds of 500m / min, absolute color accuracy and fast set-up. Similarly, the new investment in the world's leading laminate and lacquer coating system has given the company great flexibility, the ability to use solvent-based, water-based and solvent-less adhesives, different types of lacquers (paper-touch, soft-touch, matte, etc.), and the ability to apply cold-seal as well. In addition to such automations, Plastimak also pioneers in quality and environmental responsibility, through multiple investments both in laboratory equipment and in environmental impact assessment processes.

With the project "ATLANTA PICKLES", Plastimak creates a package that promotes the product of the customer through the exquisite visual art, that renders with absolute clarity and vividness the photograph of the package. Thus, through its know-how and the continuous quality controls, Plastimak achieves printing excellence in a highly complex job. Innovative morphology also helps to promote the new product. At the same time, despite its aggressive low pH content, the packaging guarantees complete protection of the product, as it offers high laminating power, protection of the plating layer, heat treatment resistance and protection against photooxidation. Furthermore, compared to the pre-existing (glass) packaging, the new package offers significant environmental benefits, such as lower water and fuel consumption, lower CO2 emissions and less pollutants.
